Objectifs

Assessing the impact of transportation and logistics on intra-regional trade COMESA

The project

The study aims to comprehensively assess the impact of transportation and logistics on intra-regional trade in COMESA by mapping and determining the development of transport infrastructures, including assessments of the existing regulatory frameworks and logistical services. By analyzing the performance of COMESA Member States in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), the study will identify barriers hindering growth and its effects on trade in the region (both intra- and extra-COMESA). Consultations with stakeholders will be fundamental in validating the study and provide valuable insights to enhance intra-COMESA trade, leading to well-informed policy recommendations.
