The project

The project focuses on the review of national existing regulations, policies and standards related to e-mobility and conventional hybrid electric vehicles, duly supported by a regional and international benchmark analysis in the same domains, with the objective of identifying suitable measures to support the development of the electric transition in the mobility sector. The project uses both primary and secondary data relying on an extensive stakeholder engagement.

Our role

UNEEDIT carries the following activities:
  • Identification of main barriers to the adoption of EVs in Belize
  • Identification of policies, regulations and market gaps
  • Formulation of policies and regulatory framework measures to promote E-mobility
  • Stakeholders’ engagement
  • Identification of gender-responsive approaches to transport and e-mobility
