Objectifs

Developping a new micro-mobility vehicle, based on the intelligent fusion of the concepts of monowheel and scooter, in order to obtain a silent, clean, energy efficient, attractive and publicly accessible vehicle.

The project

Leonardo develops new type of micro-mobility vehicles by consolidating preliminary concepts, defining functionalities and comparing with existing vehicles. The project focuses on structural, technical and electronic design and in-house testing, as well as on extensive demonstration and re-design phase.

The vehicles are tested in four cities: Rome (Italy), Eilat (Israel) and two other cities identified through a tender procedure. The Rome pilot includes 50 vehicles and provides inputs for the subsequent pilot phases.

Our role

We design and coordinate the Rome pilot, in collaboration with the Public Institutions, and we manage the transfer of the main results to the other pilot sites. We also support the definition of the main technical requirements of the vehicles.
